• The UVC Clarifier continues to form a key element of any pond keepers system in removing

• The algae, causing green water, are made to clump together (flocculate) by the UV (ultra violet) light so that they can be sieved out of the water by a filter to provide clear water

• The UV clarifier effectively eliminates algae and pathogens as well as harmful bacteria through this ultra violet light

• The Jebao UV 'NPU' 55w Clarifier is designed to be used with an existing pond filtration system, which includes a mechanical and biological filter and filter pump

• This clarifier unit is weatherproof but not waterproof and must not be submerged in water

• To prevent algae growth and green water this clarifier should be run for 24 hours a day during the summer season, and can be positioned before or after the filtration system and must be pumped through the unit and not gravity fed

• This UVC has a visual function indicator, and comes supplied and fitted with the correct 55w UV lamp/bulb

What sized UVC should I use?

• A general rule of thumb is about 5w (per 500 gallons) in a shaded pond with very few fish, and about 10w (per 500 gallons) in a pond with full sun or more heavily stocked

• You should always purchase a bigger size whenever you are unsure, as buying one too small will struggle to clear your water
